College World Series--University of Arizona vs. FSU

When the University of Arizona made it to the College World Series, my dad really wanted to go. So we went with him to see the Wildcats play against Florida State University.

Sydney was so excited to go to the game...and even more excited to get picked up early from school and have her name called over the p.a. system at school.

After about 5 innings, I had to sit in the shade. So we found some empty seats and enjoyed the rest of the game

Park Outing

We went out to the park for some family time. Sydney has learned swing by herself in the past year, so swinging is one of her favorite activities.

Fireflies

We went out to catch fireflies. Funny story, we went to a park a few block away and didn't pay attention to the fact that the park was closing in a few minutes. Not more than ten minutes after we got out and settled did a police officer come by and kick us out...at 9:15. Oh well, we had fun anyway...down the street on the dirt road behind the park.

Picnic in the Park Storytime

We went to a Storytime Picnic at the Park for a family activity tonight. It was a lovely evening and beautiful weather.

Sydney won a book (all the kids there got to win a prize).

After the story, we stayed for a bit and played at the new playground in the park.

Fishing at Walnut Creek

We went fishing again, this time at Walnut Creek in Papillion.

Sydney is bored because I made her sit and hold her own fishing pole.

Taste of Omaha

Back when we were living in Provo, Charles and I went to a Taste of Provo and got to sample some food from several local restaurants. When we saw that there would be a Taste of Omaha, we thought we would give it a try. We liked the set up of Provo's better (buy a ticket to get in, get to taste everything there) than Omaha's (get in free, buy tickets to use to "pay" for sample) but it was fun to go and be out. It rained for the first hour or so we were there, but it cleared up and we had a great time tasting food and enjoying music and dancing.

Dancing with Tata

There were some fire dancers which were fun to watch. The most amusing part was the family standing next to us with the mom telling the kids how this was not cool and that they shouldn't even THINK of trying this at home.
