Now that Sydney is mobile and likes to be involved with EVERYTHING I do, I'll set her on the counter and let her "help" me cook. It's actually really fun to see her be so curious in what I'm doing and want to be involved.
"Hmm...I think I know what this is for, Mom."

Dawna loves to "help" me cook. She is a little more, let us say, involved in what I"m trying to do. Once when she was trying to get some four in a bowl (and failing miserably), I said to my mom, "You know, all those times when I was little and really thought I was helping... I'm not sure i really was." She laughed and said, "The important thing is that she THINKS she's helping. That worked for you..." It is cute... even if you have to clean up a big white powdery mess.
